Information from here.

Meanwhile NICE is recommending almost anyone with a pulse should be on statin drugs for life. A few years back NICE said this.

"“The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) does not recommend the use of target levels of cholesterol for people taking statins for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. This is because it found no clinical trials in primary prevention that have evaluated the relative and absolute benefits of achieving different cholesterol targets in relation to clinical events.” My bold text. Can be read here.

Oh the power of money to turn peoples heads. Did you know 8 out of the 12 people at NICE recommending this new uplift in statinization have ties to drug companies ?

How long before Rolf Harris gets an early release to head up a new Child Protection Agency ? Remember statins have never been proved to prolong life. Are all the known side effects worth the risk ? Statins are dirt cheap these days, would NICE be recommending statins for so many if they were expensive ? not a chance.

Having said they are cheap, they generate tens of $billions in profit for big pharma. Check out Sir Rory Statin Collins and how much the number one UK statin pusher has received from big pharma.

According to the NHS information, 1 in 10 have an increased risk of diabetes, which carries a massively increased risk of heart disease and stroke, anyone else seeing the irony and lunacy here. Also, statins are known wreckers of muscles, err, your heart is a muscle, think about that.

One last point, statins deplete CQ10 and must be supplemented when on statins. If your Doctor is bending your arm to go on to statins, and you are willing to give them a go, tell him you also want CQ10 which costs more than the statin, if he goes green at the gills, and refuses, you will know he is more interested in money and pushing statins than your health.
